Site Directions: The activities of this site are designed to be self-guided, allowing students to work individually and at their own pace.  Directions are written on each page.*

Time Requirements: The majority of students are able to independently follow directions and complete the activities within 30 minutes.

Grade Levels: Students in Grades 3 – 6, are able to use this site to improve their observation skills.

Curriculum Ties: In conjunction with the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) of Utah’s State Core Curriculum for 4th Grade students, this site is designed to help 4th Grade students improve on making and reporting on observations of simple projects.  It is designed to prepare 4th Graders for a visit to The University of Utah’s Utah Museum of Natural History.

*During field testing, we learned that some students need teacher guidance and encouragement for taking notes, and reading directions to progress through the activities.
